The Federation of Somalia Universities (FESU) thrilled to celecrate the World Press Freedom Day as scheduled 3 May each year to celebrate worldwide by UN General Assembly but this year is the 30th anniversary of World Press Freedom Day.
The Global theme is, “Shaping a future of Rights: Freedom of expression as a driver for all other human rights”, FESU is organizing a full day of activities at her office in cooperation with SOMESHAA and media partners, academia and civil society. It is an occasion to take stock of the global gains for press freedom secured by the United Nations (UN) and its partners in the past two decades, as well as underline the new risks faced in the digital age.
