FESU Prize for Human Rights Education Awards
The Federation of Somalia Universities (FESU) instituted such this Prize for Human Rights Education in 2024 to mark Somalia’s Civic Education and Higher Education growth renewal since the callapse of the central administration in 1990. As result of that, this is the first anniversary of kind in across Somalia to further promote human rights and fundamental freedoms through education.
The Prize is awarded each year to “institutions, organizations and Universities who have made particularly significant contribution to the development of human rights education, on the basis of the principles set forth in international standard-setting instruments on human rights.
FESU Human Rights Awards is given in recognition of great higher education institution without ethical race, region and racial income as well and in particularly for those doing good or goodwill efforts and active involvement towards furthering human rights.

The first FESU Edunational award in human rights education, the Human Rights in Higher Education Awards, promotes work that embodies human rights principles and practices in teaching, learning, research, policies, and practices. It recognizes an institutional, organization, initiative, or alumni publication for its outstanding contribution to human rights education.The Awards for Human Rights Education purpose works to further human rights learning, research, policy, and practices within and across universities and colleges communities through collaboration.
