Somalia has launched an exercise to help it hire 3,000 new teachers for public schools all over the country. Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre launched the exercise on Monday. He was together with Farah Abdulkadir, the federal Minister of Education, while launching the exercise. The Prime Minister unveiled an exam that all interested teachers have to sit.
Thus far, 8,000 candidates have shown interest in joining the teaching profession after showing up for the exam.
