The Federation of Somalia Universities (FESU) thrilled to announce that Green Somalia University (GSU) joined it and became the 23rd member institution from the higher education sector. Established in 2024 by visionary leaders committed to transforming higher education across the Somali regions, GSU aims to provide world-class education that addresses both local and global challenges. It serves as a beacon of learning and innovation for students from Somalia and beyond, fostering a culture of excellence, creativity, and leadership.
GSU aims to strengthen specifically in the sectors of Agriculture, Environment, Veterinary Medicine and Animal husbandry.
Green Somalia University is a response to the educational and professional needs of our society in Somalia, our commitment to excellence and innovation has seen us produce some of the best minds in the Somali-speaking regions of the Horn of Africa.
In an increasingly globalized world, FESU provides universities of all vital with a unique support network and access to a wealth of knowledge that contributes to universities’ development. The Association helps its members to shape their future and represents the whole sector in a number of policy fora, including the federal institutions.
