The Ministry of Education, Heritage and Higher Education today officially launched the Climate Change Education Initiative.
A highly organized event that took place in Mogadishu and organized by the Ministry of Education, Heritage and Higher Education J.F.S and attended by the Minister of Education of the Member States of the Federal Government, the Chairman of the Disaster Management Agency of SoDMA and Ministers of the Government of National Affairs including the Minister of Environment & Climate Change, the Minister of Family and Human Rights, the Minister of Animal Care, Plants and Pasture, the Minister of Planning, the Ministry of The meeting was officially opened by the Deputy Prime Minister of the country, Mr. Abdisalan Dhay, noting that the Government of National Affairs attaches great importance to the plan to protect the environment and strengthen the plan of the Ministry of Education for the Climate Education Initiative.

Also, the meeting was attended by all the education community and donors, including the United Nations agencies that work in the development of education issues.

The Minister of Education spoke in detail about the importance of Climate Education in the future of the country and the Ministry’s plan for the Climate Education Initiative in the country.
